You’re Victorious, Not Victimized!

Recently I’ve begun to experience and encounter attitudes and situations in the work place that I’ve never had to before (in the workplace that is).  The situations that are occurring and the people that are in the midst of, or creators of those situations were becoming a bit overwhelming.  I would be so filled with peace and joy arriving to work, and as soon as I’d step in, I’d be engulfed in a spirit of heaviness, chaos, and tension.  But then I realized that’s exactly what it was–a spirit.  So of course I’d make sure that I continuously remained in prayer and girded myself up in the Spirit each morning before walking in.  My goodness, it had been so toxic!

Then, God revealed to me that the spirit that I was feeling was familiar.  I’d experienced this before in a particular situation. In reminding me of that, I received revelation of exactly what it was and who it was that I was dealing with.  Once I received that revelation, I began to feel angry, irritated, disgusted, just plain old mad and fed up!  But as I always do, I took those emotions to God, right in the car on my long drive home.  And guess what happened next. God being the faithful heavenly daddy that he always is, he listened to me, heard me, and then he gave me a NEW PERSPECTIVE.  This is what I heard the Holy Spirit say, “Instead of being so distracted by the emotions of what’s been revealed, Praise God for the revelation, and respond accordingly.” A sudden peace just came over me.  Just like that, our All Wise GOD literally turned my frown upside down.  Now, I praised God for loving and trusting me enough to give me revelation into what’s been happening!  I praised God for having grown me to the point of being able to receive revelation and be responsible enough to respond and not react.  IF I WASN’T READY FOR IT, GOD WOULDN’T HAVE GIVEN IT TO ME!

I was taught and reminded of several things…

  1. Perspective Matters, and it changes EVERYTHING.
  2. By way of the Holy Spirit, God gives us discernment.  The more we seek His face, the closer we draw nigh to Him.  The closer we get to Him, the more sensitive we become to the things of the Spirit. These things will not always be pleasant and we have to be mature enough to RESPOND  and NOT REACT to His divine revelation.
  3. I am learning to trust in and operate in my discernment with authority and power.
  4. With my new perspective, I feel VICTORIOUS RATHER THAN VICTIMIZED.
  5. Emotions can be distractions. Stay Focused and keep pressing forward and upward in Christ Jesus!

Amen!

Ephesians 1:3-6,8-10, 15-23 “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love he predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will— to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves.

With all wisdom and understanding, he made known to us the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ,  to be put into effect when the times reach their fulfillment—to bring unity to all things in heaven and on earth under Christ.

I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is the same as the mighty strength he exerted when he raised Christ from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms, far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is invoked, not only in the present age but also in the one to come. And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church, which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way.”
